Were the shadows... blinking? A strange hissing shape wove its way out of the darkness, almost a man but not quite, his features too blurry to make sense of.
Something coiled around his arms, shifting and moving.
"WE DON'T TALK ABOUT THAT, MIDGE!" it hissed.
